Duties and Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare accurate financial reports, reconciliations, and management accounts.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including company tax, payroll tax, and withholding tax requirements.
- Support external audit processes and maintain organized financial records.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Manage accounts receivable, monitor outstanding balances, and assist with debt collection efforts.
- Maintain cash flow visibility and optimize financial transactions.
General Accounting & Reconciliations:
- Maintain general ledger integrity and perform reconciliations for accounts, banks, and intercompany transactions.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
Payroll & Treasury Support:
- Process payroll for Australia, ensuring accurate salary payments and compliance with regulations.
- Overseeing payroll processing for Asian Countries.
- Prepare Cashflow forecasts and Support treasury functions, including cash flow management and banking transactions.
Process Improvement & Internal Controls:
- Contribute to improving internal controls and financial processes to enhance efficiency.
- Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing repetitive accounting tasks.
- Other Duties:
- Support the Financial Controller in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Assist in any ad-hoc financial projects and reporting requirements.
Must-have Skills / Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Advantageous:
- Preferably someone with experience working in a service or labour provider company.
- CPA or equivalent certification (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in accounting software (Xero experience is an advantage).
- Experience with Australian or other international GAAP is an advantage.
