Job Description

Our client, a global leader in logistics and supply chain management, is seeking a highly motivatedAccounting GL AnalystIn this role, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation of statutory and management accounting reporting, performing financial tests, reconciliations, and analysis, and reviewing the reasonableness of various financial reports, including the month-end accounting package. You will also play an essential part in driving systems/process improvements to ensure ongoing efficiency and control enhancements within the department.Key Responsibilities:Perform various financial tasks, including transaction processing, using relevant systems and in line with standard accounting procedures.Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other required information for statutory authorities (Payroll, VAT, and Corporation Tax).Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring they are well-documented and effectively implemented.Conduct validations and controls as per the defined schedule, promptly identifying and correcting processing errors.Generate ad hoc reports, metrics, and KPIs to monitor and assess departmental performance.Support the creation of monthly KPI reports to communicate performance to stakeholders.Maintain well-documented processes, such as TLDs or work instructions.Perform analytical reviews to ensure financial movements align with previous periods or forecasts.Drive process improvements to enhance controls and the quality of reconciliations and related processes. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a degree in Accounting.At least 2 years of proven experience in Accounting.Strong accounting skills and financial knowledge.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Fluency in English (minimum B2 level).Experience in planning and reporting (desirable).Desired Behaviors:Emotional resilience and ability to adapt to change.Self-reflection and openness to feedback.Professional appearance and demeanor.High reliability and accuracy in all tasks.Supportive of process changes and improvements.Approachable, proactive, and collaborative.
