What’s the role?
The Accounting Manager – Transactions plays a pivotal role in overseeing the group accounts payable, capital expenditures, G&A costs accounting, and accounts receivable functions within the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented leader to manage a team responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Other responsibilities are to:
- Lead and guide the accounts payable team to ensure timely processing of invoices and vendor payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Monitor and analyze expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Initiate conversations with project managers in tracking project budgets and expenditures, ensuring that all capital projects are properly documented and accounted for in accordance with company policy.
- Ensure hands-on involvement with project accounting and monthly closing activities.
- Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and cash application, to optimize cash flow and minimize outstanding receivables.
- Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and spearhead digitalization initiatives with the department.
- Develop internal reports and analysis to enable management to understand key events and trends in CAPEX and expenses.
Who are we looking for?
- Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent qualification
- 8+ years’ experience in accounting transactions and operations with at least 2 in a managerial position
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented and demonstrates a “can-do” positive attitude
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
- Self-starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
- Experience working in a multi-national company
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI
- Knowledge of Dynamics365 would be a plus
