Apply NowThe Accounts Receivable Consultant assists the Finance Operations Manager in the day-to-day operations of Accounts Receivable including the monitoring and maintenance of AR accounts.
Responsibilities
Cash Applications
o Reconciles cash, check and credit card deposits
o Research deposit discrepancies and coordinates steps required to resolve discrepancies identified.
o Process Credit Card Payments on a need-by-need basis
o Applies cash to customer accounts.
o Researches and resolves payment discrepancies.
AR Duties
o Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
o Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
o Complete Nt30 Credit assessments following the company Credit Assessment Policy within 24 hours
o Answers questions from stores and customers regarding billings. within 24 hours
o Available during payroll close dates to ensure orders can be released and support to the stores is maintained
Collections
o Make collection efforts on past-due accounts and collections, identifying delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
o Assess past due accounts and follow the company Collection Policy to collect past due balances with the help of the Finance Operations Manager.
o Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Finance Operations Manager and other company staff.
All areas above require a high level of cross department communication and collaboration
Other duties as assigned by the Finance Operation Manager.
Qualifications
Prior experience with collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable.
Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles is preferred.
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications, SAP experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Enjoys working in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
