Apply NowAs the Area Director of Sales for our wonderful Caribbean properties, you will be at the helm of establishing and directing sales activities for the prestigious Belmond portfolio in the Caribbean. Your mission will be to outshine all business competitors through strategic partnerships and well-crafted alliances, driving exceptional business growth and ensuring our properties remain the top choice for discerning travelers.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, conduct, and oversee all sales campaigns, as well as aligning with Marketing Manager on marketing and promotional activities.
Performs duties designed at:
-Achieving and/or surpassing established revenue goals.
-Implementing sales action plans to increase business from existing and developing new accounts/markets.
-Leading and mentoring a multi-property sales team and developing talents to perform at highest competency level.
-Assist in promotion of company’s resorts by participating in department of tourism sponsored activities.
- Lead strategy development of promotional and 360° plans to increase revenue production from existing and potential customer base.
- Develop exceptional guest experiences in conjunction with Operations Teams, Marketing Manager and in alignment with Belmond brand guidelines.
- Establish property brand culture and ethos in conjunction with Human Resources
- Curate the guest journey and brand alignment from acquisition to on-property to advocacy in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and Operations teams.
- Travel as necessary to participates in sales activities at trade shows, and as needed to promote sales of transient rooms.
- Entertain key accounts, influencers and media to secure business and brand awareness for the resort.
- Preparation of the budget and strategy plan. In conjunction with the Revenue Director, DDOS and Marketing Manager, develop rates, group ceilings and deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis and mix management
- Lead team of Managers on strategies to develop new business opportunities and market penetration.
Education & Experience
A university degree or college degree in business administration, marketing, communications, public relations, advertising, or a related field is required.
Skills
- Proven and trackable sales success and a minimum of 5 years supervisory or management experience in the sales and marketing of international luxury hotel brands.
- Proven record of resorts opening experience.
- A sound knowledge of the product and competitive environment, as well as a strong network of established connections with luxury brand tour/travel operators in North America, Latin America, Mexico and Europe is required.
- Market analysis, effective communication, presentation, and human relations skills.
- Languages Required: Spanish, English. Proficiency in other Languages would be a plus.
