The role of the Assistant Accountant is to support the Management Accountant and Finance Director in the accurate and timely delivery of the Monthly management accounts and supporting balance sheet reconciliations and Group reporting. The Assistant Accountant should be highly motivated, and improvement focused. They should be able to demonstrate strong problem solving, planning and communication skills. In addition, they should already be studying, IATI or starting to study for the ACCA/CIMA qualification.

• Support with the production of accurate, complete and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Responsible for accrual and prepayment journals postings and supporting documentation.
• Manage the reconciliation of the bank and fixed assets register, including depreciation postings.
• Reconcile monthly intercompany balances.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the audit process
• Maintain and report loan balances between Group companies and interest payments.
• Bank reconciliations

Person Spec:

• Studying IATI/ACCA/CIMA 1st/2nd stage
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel
• Strong communications skills
• Strong planning and time management skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
