Job Description

On-Hire is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Food/Non-Food Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Purchasing Manager in overseeing the procurement of food and non-food items essential for our operations. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining the quality of our offerings while ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the procurement process for food and non-food products, from supplier selection and negotiation to order fulfillment.Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to develop sourcing strategies that align with company objectives.Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, product availability, and pricing trends.Monitor inventory levels, track orders, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.Support the purchasing team in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to supply orders.Assist in the evaluation of supplier performance and product quality.Promote effective communication with internal teams to meet operational needs and requirements. Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the Food & Beverage sector.Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop positive relationships with suppliers.Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for tracking and reporting.Knowledge of inventory management practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
