POSITION SUMMARY

As a Summer Term Bids Cost and Pricing Assistant at NFI Group, you will gain valuable experience in managing the Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes and assisting in contract execution. You will support the Bids, Cost and Pricing team, focusing on ensuring accuracy of material costs for pricing Bids, Options, and Supplemental Requisition Change Requests (SRCR’s).

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing RFQs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company guidelines
  • Coordinate communication with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders during the Bids process.
  • Support the evaluation and comparison of vendor quotes to assist in decision-making
  • Organize and maintain documentation relate to Bids and SRCRs
  • Collaborate with team members to support accurate material cost analysis
  • Maintain organized records of bids, contracts, and pricing data
  • Monitor progress and ensure deadlines are meant for ongoing RFQ and coordination tasks
  • Attend Strategy meetings with Sales, Value Applications Engineering and Customer Program Management for Bids, Options and SRCRs to ensure support of Bid/Option pricing requirements
  • Facilitate the smooth coordination of team meetings, and project timelines

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Currently attending a post-secondary program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related program
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, managing and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines
  • Process oriented with a strong attention to detail
