Job Summary:
As a Business Development Manager you are responsible to drive growth and expand the market presence of the company. In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in sales and business development to identify new opportunities, build strategic relationships, and contribute to our overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, research, and industry events.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
- Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to align strategies and ensure successful implementation of initiatives.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to meet or exceed targets.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior sales team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing sales culture.
- Professional Development: To stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and business opportunities, read relevant publications, and attend professional events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and methodologies.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
