QS4QS is looking for an experienced Civil Engineering - Visiting Lecturer to join our esteemed academic team. This part-time position offers a great opportunity for a knowledgeable professional to share their expertise in civil engineering principles, materials, and practices with our students. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to helping future engineers thrive in their understanding of civil engineering concepts and applications.ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging and informative lectures, workshops, and seminars on various aspects of civil engineering.Design and develop course materials, including syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments that challenge students and encourage critical thinking.Evaluate and assess student performance through examinations, projects, and presentations, providing constructive feedback.Mentor and guide students in their academic pursuits, fostering their interest in civil engineering and related fields.Collaborate with faculty to continually improve and update the curriculum based on current industry trends and technologies.Promote an interactive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and engagement.Stay current with advancements in civil engineering and integrate new knowledge into course content.Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the civil engineering program. Master's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.Extensive professional experience in civil engineering, including practical project involvement.Previous experience in teaching or lecturing at the university level is preferred.Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles, methods, and materials.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to inspire and engage students in civil engineering topics.Familiarity with engineering software and tools relevant to civil engineering practice.Commitment to fostering student success and academic excellence.Flexibility to work on a part-time basis and availability for student consultations outside of scheduled classes.
