Pelican Ice is a leading provider of ice products in the region, serving a wide range of customers from restaurants and bars to event organizers. We are currently seeking a Class A Driver to join our team. As a Class A Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of our products to our valued customers.ResponsibilitiesSafely and efficiently operate a Class A vehicle to deliver ice products to designated locationsLoad and unload products using hand trucks or other equipment as necessaryEnsure the accuracy of delivery routes and schedulesProvide exceptional customer service while interacting with customers at delivery locationsConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and report any issues or damages to the appropriate departmentAdhere to all traffic laws and company policies during the transportation of productsMaintain a clean and organized work area Valid Class A driver's license with a clean driving recordMinimum of 2 years' experience in commercial drivingKnowledge of DOT regulations and safety proceduresAbility to operate and navigate a GPS device or use a map to determine routesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lift heavy objects, including ice bags weighing up to 50 poundsFlexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
