What you’ll do

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and communicating the organizational narrative to external and internal stakeholders. This position is integral to managing the company’s reputation, handling media relations, and ensuring that the company’s activities align with its purpose.
More specifically you will need to:

Develop and implement media strategies to enhance the corporate reputation.
Manage press office operations, develop media relations and contribute to enhancing the company’s external visibility.
Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including government bodies, industry associations, and community groups.
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and mutual understanding.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and public forums.
Drive the company’s external engagement strategy and implement high impact public affairs campaigns
Develop, implement and monitor Vodafone Foundation initiatives in alignment with the European Foundation Strategy.
Manage the company’s ESG strategy ensuring efficient delivery of the climate transition plan.
Develop and implement crisis communication plans to protect the company’s reputation during emergencies.
Prepare and train spokespersons for media interactions during crises.
Coordinate with senior management and other departments to ensure the consistency of the company’s narrative across touchpoints and the implementation of a robust roadmap of communication activities.

Who you are

Strong personal impact and ability to influence senior leaders and external stakeholders
Strong communication & interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
High level of integrity and professionalism and exhibit adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment
Strong academic background at a postgraduate level either in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related areas
Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate affairs or public relations and proven track record of managing media relations and internal communications
Experience in developing and implementing PR and public affairs campaigns
Deep understanding of the external environment and political context in which the company operates
