The Vacancy

Contract duration: 2 years

The Data Analyst will be responsible for analysing data to support technology-driven business decisions, providing insights, and assisting with various technical and support operations.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collect, process, and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive technology initiatives
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Assist with technology operations, including process enhancement, identifying inefficiencies and suggesting improvements to streamline operations, preparing, organizing, and maintaining documents, handling emails, and phone calls when needed. Support colleagues across BMG with any data issues raised, follow up till resolution, directing or escalating as appropriate
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by implementing best practices in data management. Responsible for quality control of client and market data identifying, escalating and mitigating risks as appropriate. Complete daily/weekly/monthly and yearly checks to track data changes and verify accuracy of data
  • Work closely with the Data Lead and cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues and provide recommendations for improvement in technology processes
  • Perform role always ensuring adherence to the expected behaviours stated in the FCA Conduct Rules

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in data analysis, business support, or a related role within a technology environment
  • Experience utilising data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI), and familiarity with Microsoft Fabric
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide technology-focused insights
  • Demonstrable ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders, including technical teams, with an ability to shift priorities based on business needs
