We are seeking a Design Manager with a strong focus on safety, audits, and design to lead and oversee our design processes while ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in conducting safety audits, reviewing design specifications, and implementing safety-first engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development:

• Oversee the end-to-end design process, ensuring that safety is a primary consideration.
• Develop and review technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to create designs that align with project objectives.
• Ensure designs comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Safety & Compliance:

• Conduct regular safety audits to assess and mitigate potential risks in design and execution.
• Implement safety-first design principles to enhance overall project integrity.
• Stay updated on evolving safety regulations and ensure all designs meet compliance requirements.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to conduct safety testing and validation.

Audit & Risk Assessment:

• Lead internal and external design audits to ensure adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend changes to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of audits, inspections, and corrective actions taken.

Collaboration & Leadership:

• Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and safety officers, to drive safety-focused design solutions.
• Mentor junior designers and engineers, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Present design recommendations and audit findings to senior leadership.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Design, Architecture, or a related field.
•  3+ years of experience in design management, with a strong emphasis on safety and audits.
• Proven experience conducting safety audits and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong expertise in design principles, safety regulations, and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other relevant tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
