ARETUM, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development & Growth Director to join our team. As the Director, Business Development & Capture Air Force / Army at ARETUM, you will lead the development and execution of business strategies to drive growth within the Department of Defense (DoD) sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy for the DOD sector, in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the DOD (Airforce/Army) market, building relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Lead the capture management process from opportunity identification to proposal submission, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful bids.
  • Manage the entire business development lifecycle, from market research and analysis to opportunity qualification, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to define growth targets and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster repeat business and identify potential upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and government policies impacting the DOD market, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective DOD (Airforce/Army) clients and opportunities, continuously expanding the company's presence in the market.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop compelling messaging and materials to support business development activities.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of driving growth in the DOD sector.
  • Prior experience working with the Department of Defense or other government agencies is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the DOD (Airforce/Army) acquisition process, contracts, and government buying cycles.
  • Proven ability to successfully lead capture management efforts and win new business.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to think critically and creatively to identify new business opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
