We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager (EM) to lead and scale a team of talented engineers while staying hands-on with technology. This role requires a strong background in data structures, algorithms, Python, and Java to guide architectural decisions, optimize performance, and drive innovation. You will play a crucial role in designing and building scalable, high-performance systems while mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Lead by example with hands-on coding, design reviews, and system architecture discussions.
- Team Management: Build, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, ensuring their professional growth and high performance.
- Software Development: Oversee the development of robust, scalable, and high-performance applications using Python and Java.
- Architectural Decision-Making: Drive the design and implementation of efficient data structures and algorithms to optimize system performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Process Improvement: Establish best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and deployment.
- Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in engineering management, software development, and system architecture.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong expertise in data structures and algorithms, with the ability to design and optimize complex systems.
- Proficiency in Python and Java, with a deep understanding of backend development and system design.
- Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams, driving high performance, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for building scalable, reliable, and maintainable software.
- Experience in agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based architectures is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
