The Role

Aambience, on behalf of its client—one of Greece’s leading law firms with an extensive portfolio of high-profile clients— is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller.

Reporting to the Deputy Financial Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning and analysis, ensuring accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision support. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to drive financial efficiency within a dynamic legal environment.

Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and monthly management reporting. 
  • Support the preparation of the annual Budget and Cashflow (P&L, BS, CF) of the company. 
  • Support the preparation of the quarterly and semiannual forecasts.  
  • Prepare monthly management reporting and other ad hoc analysis/reports as per management requirements. 
  • Cooperate effectively with all related departments, producing timely financial information required while adopting automated reporting tools to increase productivity and business understanding. 
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting. 
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. 
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships both internally and externally at all levels. 
  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics. A Master's degree is desirable. 
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller more than 5 years. 
  • Relevant certifications (i.e., ACA/ACCA/CFA/IFRS Diploma) are highly valued. 
  • Good knowledge of Accounting and G.A.A.P. 
  • Experience in ERP system will be considered an advantage. 
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, highly proficient particularly in Excel. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and detail oriented. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. 
  • Able to handle pressure well and being self-motivated.
