$10.00 hourly plus gratuities Position Purpose:The server is responsible for receiving and expediting food and beverage orders and assisting guests in order to create a satisfying and luxurious dining experience.Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:Set up dining area and server stations before each shiftStay informed of daily menu updates, seasonal products and local food offeringsSet tables prior to guest arrival with appropriate utensils, condiments etc.Restock all stationsGreet and introduce oneself to guests in designated sections in timely mannerDescribe and recommend wines and specialty beverages to guestsCheck identification for guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcoholic drinksCommunicate with guests in a poised and professional mannerReceive food and beverage orders at assigned tables, offering assistance and section recommendations, as necessaryCheck in with guests consistently to ensure satisfactionServe water, coffee and tea to guestsDeliver bread and water to tablesPrepare cocktails as ordered and deliver to guests or bartenderRun food from kitchen, as neededComplete all side work and daily cleaning tasks in checklist binderAdhere to cleaning duties required at end of shiftRemove dishes and glasses from tables and take to kitchen during mealsPresent checks on each table, collect payments and cash guest out correctlyComplete and produce accurate check-outs at the end of each shiftAllocate tips to all support staff per AIDR expectationsReport all issues in the dining area to restaurant management teamMaintain the cleanliness of the service areaAttend all mandatory training and meetingsOther duties, as assignedMaintain positive and helpful attitude with all guests and Inns of Aurora employeesMaintain a professional demeanor and adhere to proper dress policy, as defined in the IOA handbookFollow guidelines and expectations as stated in the employee handbookOther duties, as assigned Excellent verbal communication skillsAbility to multi-taskAbility to maintain neat, professional and clean appearance and practicesAbility to work while standing for long periods of timeAbility to work in a team environment with other servers, host, bartenders, chefs and other Inns of Aurora employeesAbility to adhere to proper food regulation standards and health and safety standardsHigh level of professionalism and passion for the industryAbility to maintain calm and collected demeanor under and fast-paced working conditionsAbility to work efficiently on a team with other servers, chefs, and all other Inns of Aurora team membersFlexibility with schedulingPREFERENCESPrevious serving or fine-dining serving experienceKnowledge and understanding of workplace safety proceduresLocal wine, food and fine-dining knowledge We are proud to offer outstanding benefits to all of our employees.
