The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “General Ledger Accountant”, for its premises in Thessaloniki. The position will report to the Financial Reporting & IFRS Manager of the Finance & Accounting Department. 

Main Responsibilities:  

• Manage the general ledger of Hellas Gold by recording all financial transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare and post journal entries to record transactions, accruals and IFRS adjustments.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation of financial transactions and records.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency and enhance internal controls.
• Assist with preparation of ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by Finance management.
• Collaborating with internal audit and external audit teams to ensure compliance with SOX requirements and to address any identified control deficiencies.

Requirements:  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• MSc in related subject is an added value for the role.
• 3 years as a General Ledger Accountant or similar role in the Finance department of an organization.
• Experience in corporate finance.
• Excellent knowledge of the English language
• Κnowledge of MS office & SAP programs
