We require an ambitious Engineering Geologist/Geologist/ to join our Ground Engineering Team in our Greater Manchester office. You will be involved in an interesting variety of projects across a range of sectors and clients such as, property development, infrastructure, mining, local authorities, waste management to name a few.The Opportunity: Completion of Phase I ground engineering, contaminated land, mining / geology and desk studies; Act as a Site Engineer or supporting role, supervising multiple ground investigation / ground remediation / CQA activities on either short or long duration projects with potential working away from home;Supervision of site works including logging of soils and rock (in accordance with current UK standards); Site monitoring activities to include groundwater sampling and gas monitoring;Specify and supervise in-situ testing and sampling in accordance with UK specifications and current technical standards;Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors and sub-contractors throughout the site work phase;Assist in the preparation of Health and Safety and contract documentation and administration of contracts (including financial control); andGeotechnical and Geo-environmental data assessment, analysis and reporting.About you:BSc in Engineering Geology, Geology, or similar, MSc or industry experience is advantageous;A full and clean UK driving license and own vehicle.Confidence and knowledge of UK ground investigation techniques; and written report writing skills, and computer software skills.We offer: Membership of the Firm's Group Personal Pension Plan, with Employer's contribution of up to 5%.Payment of a relevant professional subscription. 24 days annual leave per year.Membership to the Firm's Private Health Care Scheme.Inclusion in the Firm's Critical Illness Cover Policy.Inclusion in the Firm's Life Assurance Policy, insuring you 3 times your annual salary.Mobile Phone with inclusive tariff including personal usage.Flexi-Time Working Schedule.Long service awards.Cycle to Work Scheme.Travel Loans.Recruitment Bounty Scheme.Flexible office / home working.
