STRADIGI on behalf of its client, a Pioneering Education technology Leader, is looking for a Head of Websites to lead one of their software development teams. This role involves both hands-on development and management responsibilities. The successful candidate will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of applications while leading and mentoring a team of developers.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing complex web applications using their digital experience platform to provide outstanding user experiences and meet their business requirements.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead a team of developers in the design, development, and deployment of relevant solutions.
- Plan and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance, including code reviews and setting best practice standards.
- Collaborate with other team leaders and stakeholders to align projects with business objectives.
- Maintain high team morale and foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment.
- Handle performance reviews, hiring, and training of new team members.
- Continue to perform hands-on software development as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive hands-on experience in software development (5+ years), including 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven work experience with digital experience platforms (Sitecore is preferred).
- Strong project management skills and experience leading development teams
- Expertise in .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, and SQL Server.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor others.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Exceptional stakeholder and leadership abilities, with a passion for driving product excellence.
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure services or other cloud environments.
- Knowledge of modern DevOps tools and practices.
- Understanding of web security practices.
- Advanced certifications in Sitecore and project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
- Knowledge of additional web technologies and frameworks is a plus.
