Key responsibilities:
- Management Accounts: Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing detailed financial analysis to inform business decisions.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results against budgets and forecasts, providing explanations for any discrepancies.
- Reporting: Generate regular financial reports and present findings to senior management, providing insights to support strategic planning.
- Cost Control: Monitor and analyse costs, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Month-End Close: Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Support Audit: Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to queries.
- Business Partnering – assist the team and wider business in providing necessary drill down and commercial input
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA qualification.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (desirable).
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in a management accounting role.
- Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Previous experience in a SaaS or technology-driven environment (advantageous).
Skills and Behaviours:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to build strong relationships across the business
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the initiative to drive continuous improvement.
