We are currently seeking temporary staff at the Scientific Associate level to support laboratory research in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will conduct laboratory experiments, including automation-based studies, while effectively managing priorities, maintaining thorough documentation, and communicating with diverse stakeholders. A strong foundation in physical organic chemistry, crystallization techniques, and sample characterization is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct solubility determination in organic/aqueous systems at controlled temperatures.
  • Perform solid form screening via crystallization, identify stable polymorphs, generate phase diagrams, and support salt/cocrystal formation.
  • Characterize samples using various solid-state and physicochemical analytical techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of experiments and results in laboratory notebooks.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the drug development process.
  • Solid theoretical and experimental knowledge in materials science.
  • Expertise in crystallization techniques.
  • Proficiency with analytical instruments such as XRPD, DSC, TGA, DVS, HPLC, and other solid-state techniques.
  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated scientific curiosity and self-motivation.
  • MS (or equivalent degree) or
  • BS with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Educational background in organic/physical organic/supramolecular chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, nanotechnology, bioengineering, pharmaceutical science, analytical chemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering.
