In this role, you'll act as the Subject Matter Expert for mechanical and plumbing systems across multiple projects. With 10+ years of experience, you’ll lead client communication, design development, and provide technical mentorship, all while shaping HVAC and plumbing systems that align with evolving codes and standards. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely or in-office based on your preference.Accountabilities:Serve as the lead mechanical engineer and technical expert across client projectsOversee mechanical and plumbing system design in compliance with building codes and standardsPerform HVAC load calculations, plumbing system sizing, and energy code complianceCollaborate closely with architects, designers, and project teams to produce coordinated construction documentsReview and ensure quality control of mechanical and plumbing designsMentor junior engineers and provide training in drafting and code applicationMaintain direct client communication and contribute to project budgeting and financial success BSME from an ABET-accredited engineering programLicensed Professional Engineer (PE)10+ years of mechanical design experience in building projectsIn-depth knowledge of ICC codes, NFPA standards, and energy code complianceProficient in HVAC and plumbing calculations (load, water, waste, vent, and FOGs)Ability to work independently and manage a small team (up to 5 staff)Strong written communication skills and experience developing specificationsRemote candidates welcome; experience working in a distributed team is a plus Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceDisability and life insurance coverage401(k) plan with company matchEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Flexible work schedule and remote work optionsLearning stipends and professional development supportRecognition and reward programs for outstanding workSupportive, people-first company culture focused on well-beingJobgether Hiring Process Disclaimer This job is posted on behalf of one of our partner companies.
