Objectives and Purpose of the Job:

To support the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the milling equipment that converts raw material into high quality wheat and maize products.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in ensuring daily productions meet all product quality and food safety standards.

2. Assist in ensuring production targets are met.

3. Assist with ensuring accuracy and timeliness of production data per shift.

4. Assist with evaluating roll feed and sifter streams every shift, every day.

5. Assist with the cleaning of milling equipment and storage facilities.

6. Obtain samples per the QA sampling SOP

7. Assist with implementing 5's standards that maintain a clean and safe working environment.

8. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and HACCP quality systems.

9. Adhere to safety, health and environment rules and regulations.

10. Assist with ensuring focused process improvement projects (Kaizen Blitz) and designated activities are implemented leading to continual improvement culture.

11. Any other duties within scope that is assigned by the Shift Miller.

Academic/Technical/Management: Experience & Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent

2. Level 1 Math/City & Guilds or equivalent

Abilities; Skills; Experience; Aptitude & Judgement:

1. Mathematical skills; must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

2. Working knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems, ISO 22000, HACCP

3. Ability to analyze problems, detect root causes and resolve all issues
