We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk Manager to lead and enhance our risk management framework within the health insurance sector. This role is critical in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, operational risk assessment, and health insurance processes, with the ability to implement best practices to safeguard business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive operational risk management framework for health insurance operations.
- Identify and assess potential operational risks, including fraud, compliance breaches, and process inefficiencies.
- Conduct risk assessments to evaluate internal controls, procedures, and business practices.
- Design and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial and operational risks.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with health insurance industry regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management into daily operations.
- Lead root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for risk incidents.
- Develop and deliver risk awareness training for employees to foster a risk-aware culture.
- Maintain detailed risk documentation, reports, and dashboards to provide insights to senior management.
- Partner with internal and external auditors to address risk-related inquiries and ensure compliance with best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in operational risk management, risk assessment, or compliance, preferably in the health insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with risk assessment tools, risk control self-assessment (RCSA), and key risk indicators (KRIs).
- Ability to analyze complex processes, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to track risk trends and performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk identification and resolution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications like FRM, PRM, or IRM is a plus).
