Position Summary

As a Payments Risk Systems Analyst your main responsibilities will be to analyze a large set of data to identify and trace fraud patterns and suspicious or high-risk activities. Additionally, you will be required to quantify the financial risk and propose strategies or solutions to reduce or eliminate that risk, while maintaining sales and customer experience on top performance. You will also be responsible for “translating” the proposed strategy into coded rules in the company's fraud prevention system. The ideal candidate must have excellent investigation, problem solving and decision making skills.

You will be located in Athens and will be part of our Fintech Organization.

Responsibilities

  • Detect fraud trends/suspicious activity by analyzing data from multiple sources/systems.
  • Collect relevant data/information and prepare business cases assessing the potential risk / financial impact for the company.
  • Closely monitor fraud department KPIs in order to identify possible risks and propose improvements/changes under a data driven approach.
  • Think of alternative/innovative solutions to further improve department KPIs.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the company’s fraud prevention tool and respective set up in order to be able to calibrate and/or write new fraud rules to prevent fraudulent activity.
  • Support business needs and company decisions by suggesting and implementing system configurations.
  • Have close cooperation and provide feedback to several company departments relevant with changes applied to prevent fraudulent activity.
  • Stay up to date with the latest online fraud trends, practices and tools.
  • Prepare reports for the management team.

  • Studies preferably in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a fraud analyst or any other analyst position
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, R or Qlik will be considered as a plus.
  • Advanced experience with MS office (especially Excel)
  • Data driven approach along with strong critical, analytical and investigation skills
  • Ability to act proactively, take initiatives and demonstrate a can-do attitude focusing on producing high quality results within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and navigate through multiple systems and processes.
  • Presentation/ communication skills & excellent command of the English language
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential information
  • High level of responsibility & integrity combined with eagerness to work in a multicultural, international environment subject to continuous changes
