Your Role as Payroll Officer

As a Payroll Officer (or as we like to call it, Numbers Ninja), you’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero who ensures every employee is paid accurately and on time. You’ll handle everything from rostering and timesheets to payroll processing and compliance. Think of yourself as the Sherlock Holmes of payroll—except cooler, because you’ll have access to cutting-edge tools and a team that’s as passionate as you are.

Key Responsibilities

Manage rostering and timesheets using MYOB/Deputy.

Process weekly payroll and ensure accurate calculations of employee benefits and deductions.

Add and onboard staff into the system/database.

Track and manage company payroll data with precision.

Prepare employee compensation checks using payroll software.

Ensure taxes comply with company and state regulations.

Schedule electronic payments and distribute paychecks.

Prepare payroll reports and distribute payment statements.

Respond to employee questions about compensation, taxes, benefits, and deductions.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications

2-4 years of experience in Australian payroll with data processing.

Familiarity with state labor laws and payroll principles.

Proficiency in payroll software (MYOB experience is a plus).

Advanced mathematical skills and strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
