Role Overview:

As a Principal Software Engineer & Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-grade e-commerce solutions. You will lead the architectural vision, drive technical excellence, and ensure scalable, high-performance applications that meet complex business needs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will spearhead digital transformation initiatives, implement cutting-edge technologies, and mentor engineering teams to deliver robust and future-proof solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Development:

• Design and implement scalable SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) solutions for B2B and B2C e-commerce platforms.
• Define and maintain solution architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and industry best practices.
• Architect microservices-based, headless commerce solutions for flexibility and seamless integrations.
• Lead API development and integration, ensuring interoperability across systems.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and high availability for mission-critical applications.

Cloud & DevOps Strategy:

• Leverage AWS, Azure, or GCP for cloud-native deployments and optimizations.
• Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, security, and compliance standards.
• Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and performance tuning for cloud-hosted applications.

Digital Transformation & E-commerce Innovation:

• Drive omnichannel commerce strategies to enhance customer experiences.
• Integrate Order Management Systems (OMS), Product Information Management (PIM), and Customer Data Platforms (CDP).
• Utilize machine learning and AI to personalize user journeys and optimize business operations.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship:

• Provide technical leadership, guiding teams through architectural decisions and best practices.
• Mentor engineers on enterprise software development, performance optimization, and security.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the engineering team.

Project & Stakeholder Management:

• Lead Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies for efficient project execution.
• Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and compliance frameworks.

Required Skills & Expertise:

•  Extensive experience (10+ years) in Java development, enterprise software, and e-commerce solutions.
• Deep expertise in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Hybris Development, and e-commerce platforms.
• Strong understanding of solution architecture, microservices, and headless commerce frameworks.
• Proven experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise DevOps.
• Proficiency in API development, integration patterns, and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning, AI-driven personalization, and business intelligence (BI).
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, blogging, and public speaking.
