For this position the concentration is testing Production Module, machining optimization software. The Product Quality Engineer analyzes testing results and provides technical information about each software package to Development and Product Management. In addition, the Product Quality Engineer is responsible for creating more efficient software testing techniques and ensures frequent, productive communication.Major Job Accountabilities:Increase Efficiency and Grow AutomationIdentify new and more efficient ways to develop and test Production ModuleBuild and utilize automated tools to run testing batteriesConstantly Improve and Streamline Processes within the OrganizationRelease Preparation and TestingEvaluate and provide feedback on feature specifications and requirementsEffectively summarize and communicate the status of product releasesCreate and execute test plans for new featuresDocument defects found within the softwareValidate changes made to the softwarePerform regression testingWork with Developers and Product Management to convey current software weaknesses and determine the best plan of actionDevelop metrics and provide reports to management that highlight key issues or trendsHelp determine priorities for software fixes and enhancementsCreate and update user manuals or other training documentsBuild and manage repositories of test casesBuild and maintain key internal relationships with developers and applications engineers to facilitate efficient customer problem resolutionParticipate in release, group, and project meetingsSoftware Verification TestingHelp determine ways to create verification casesCreate verification cases for new features as part of standard release testingParticipate in verification meetings Required (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):Experience testing softwareKnowledge and familiarity with machining processes, tooling, and toolpathsExperience with CAE/CAD/CAM software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, Pro-Engineer, Ansys, ABAQUS, Tecplot, VTK, Para View etc.)Computer programming experience (MATLAB, Perl, C++, Java, Python, C, .Net, etc.)Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across the organizationStrong written and oral communication skillsMotivated individual who is driven to make continuous improvement sand can thrive without significant direct supervisionPassion for learning and contributing towards collective goalsProven ability to work well within a team and across the organizationInterest in engineering/scientific computation software developmentPreferred (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):Experience with GUI designExperience with Unit Testing, Test Driven DevelopmentInterest in working with commercial customers and real-world problemsKnowledge and familiarity with FEM software or CAE analysisFamiliarity with Jira, Jenkins, and GitEducation:Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Software Engineer or Computer ScienceSalary:$68,000 - $78,000 base salary Third Wave Systems offers a comprehensive employee benefits program for full-time employees.401(k)Health InsuranceDental InsurancePaid time offHoliday Pay
