Job Title:Program Coordinator

Department: Operations

Reports To: Program Manager, Veterans Unit

Classification: Non-Exempt

Location: Bridgeport, CT

Salary: $34,900-$44,700

SUMMARY

The Program Coordinator will support the Program Manager and staff by becoming the first point of contact in the review of participant eligibility, tracking and submission. The Program Coordinator must acquire working knowledge of grant/program requirements and services in order to assist staff with a variety of functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

  1. General logistics include but are not limited to travel; hotel; and training locations.
  2. Assist in administrative tasks such as returning calls, setting up meetings, and correspondence with applicants; as well as meeting management, webinars and conference calls.
  3. Assist with file accuracy and maintenance; timesheets, and subsidy paperwork.
  4. Data entry and database review (Spark, ETO, Constant Contact, etc.)
  5. Assist with orientations and graduations including participant confirmation sheets, event documents, food and supplies
  6. Research and share labor market information (LMI) as well as trends on employer development and resume writing with the team each month
  7. Expense report collection and review
  8. Sourcing resumes from online sources
  9. Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for own work and not required to direct or supervise other personnel, but may occasionally instruct or show another employee how to perform the work.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED, one year of customer service experience, sales and/or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS

The ability to understand more advanced computer skills and be proficient in the advanced knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Multilingual preferred
