As a Tools Tester at Lighthouse Games, you will be responsible for testing and validating the tools and software used by our development teams to create and optimise games. Your work will ensure that our internal tools are functional, user-friendly, and efficient, enabling our developers to deliver high-quality gaming experiences. Key ResponsibilitiesTest and evaluate internal tools, plugins, and software used by game designers, level designers and artists. Identify, document, and report bugs, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks in tools. Collaborate with tools developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes. Work with the QA Lead to create and maintain test cases, documentation, and workflows for tools testing. Provide feedback on tool usability, functionality, and performance to improve the developer experience. Perform regression testing to ensure tool stability across updates and new releases. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including QA, engineering, and design, to ensure tools meet project requirements. Experience in QA, preferably embedded with a development team. Experience with Unreal Engine 5 or UEFN tools, plugins, and related software. Basic understanding of game development pipelines and workflows. Familiarity with bug and task tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality results. Experience with version control systems (e.g. Perforce, UGS).
