As part of our growing operations, we are looking for a highly motivated Quality Control Analyst to join our laboratory located in our facility in Ritsona, as a part of the Quality Control Department.This role will report to the Plant Manager and will contribute to ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 standards by performing chemical and physical testing to classify, monitor, and verify waste properties. The role involves maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and proper hazardous waste management through precise analysis and equipment calibration. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in chemistry or chemical engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and prior experience working in a similar environment.

Role Overview:

The Quality Control Analyst will be responsible for performing routine analysis of raw materials and hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 standards, and maintaining accurate documentation. Key duties include sampling, testing (e.g., Flash Point, Calorimeter, Karl Fisher, pH), calibrating laboratory equipment, and reporting results to the Plant Manager while supporting safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

The role involves:

  • Performing and participating in routine testing of raw materials and finished products using various testing techniques (Flash Point, Calorimeter, Karl Fisher, pH).
  • Sampling of raw materials.
  • Reporting test results to the Plant Manager.
  • Performing daily calibration of analytical equipment.
  • Complying with the organization’s Documentation Policy.
  • Demonstrating the ability to read and interpret documents related to health & safety regulations, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Requirements:

Professional Experience

  • At least one (1) year of experience in the Waste Management Industry (or similar) within the field of Quality Control or/and R&D.
  • Experience in an ISO 17025 oriented laboratory.
  • Knowledge in ion chromatography & ICP-OES will be considered a plus.

Academic Background & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or mining & metallurgical engineering or chemical engineering or environmental engineering.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field will be considered a plus.

Languages & Technical Capabilities

  • Fluent in Greek and English (written and spoken).
  • Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
