If you’re an SEO pro who thrives on autonomy, loves optimising websites for search and conversions, and enjoys helping shape strategy and process, this role could be your next step.About the RoleWe’re on the lookout for an experienced SEO & Content Manager to join our close-knit team. This is a key hire for us. You’ll work directly with our CEO to lead SEO across our client accounts, shape new website projects with an SEO-first mindset, and help us push the boundaries of what's possible using the latest tech, including AI.This is a strategic and hands-on role, perfect for someone with 2–3+ years of agency SEO experience who wants to take more ownership, experiment with new ideas, and influence how we grow as an agency. This is a great opportunity to be a key voice in our strategic direction and have your thoughts valued. You’ll oversee a small network of freelance developers, copywriters, and link-building partners — but you’ll also be just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves and writing conversion-focused content yourself.Key ResponsibilitiesTake the lead on SEO strategy and execution across a range of client websitesShape new website builds from the ground up with SEO baked in from day oneWrite, review, and optimise SEO-focused content that attracts traffic and converts into leads and customersManage and coordinate with freelance developers, writers, and link building partnersCollaborate closely with the CEO to refine SEO strategy, create SOPs, and develop repeatable success recipes for our clientsDevise, test, and learn from new strategies and tactics, always keeping one eye on the latest algorithm changes and emerging trendsUse tools like SEMrush, GA4, Google Search Console, and Microsoft Clarity to monitor performance and drive optimisation decisionsKeep up to date with SEO best practices and experiment with new technologies, including AI tools, to deliver better, faster resultsSupport and contribute to off-site SEO through content marketing, link-building strategy, and PR-style campaignsInterpret data with confidence, drawing actionable insights that improve rankings and user experienceHelp shape our internal approach to SEO, reporting, and documentationOptional: Attend client meetings and present insights, though this isn’t a requirementBenefits£30,000–£35,000 salary (based on experience)Flexible remote workingCompany pension30 days holiday including bank holidaysOpportunities for professional growth and developmentEncouraged attendance at industry events and networking opportunitiesCollaborative, supportive, and dynamic working environment What We’re Looking For2–3+ years’ experience working in an SEO role, ideally within a digital marketing agencyStrong knowledge of on-site and technical SEO, plus content strategy and optimisationProven ability to craft compelling, conversion-focused contentExperience with SEMrush, GA4, Google Search Console, Microsoft Clarity, and similar toolsComfortable using low- or no-code website platforms (e.g. WordPress, Webflow, Divi, Elementor)A curious, self-starting mindset with a passion for learning and testing new ideasExcellent organisation and attention to detailSolid understanding of digital marketing best practicesStrong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyFull UK driving licenceBonus Points For:Previous experience managing freelancers or collaborating with external partnersBasic understanding of CRO (conversion rate optimisation)Familiarity with AI content generation tools (used the right way)Any experience with digital PR or outreach campaigns
