Mission: The purpose of the Senior Corporate Accounting Specialist is to deliver an excellent client experience (we call it The ProfitCoach Experience) in all Corporate accounting activities assigned. This includes being a resource for questions, issues, and review for items that may be related to monthly financial reviews, bank feeds, payroll processing or recording, payable processing, client communications and new client on-boardings, or client accounting clean-up.

- Join and participate in the Corporate transaction meetings
- Team Capacity Planning, assists with analysis of budget versus actual time and Corporate team member capacity
- Attend weekly company calls
- Attend every other week 1:1 calls with direct supervisor
- Have excellent communication via email and slack
- External
- Client calls, as needed, current average is 1-3 calls per week
- Inbox oversight and email review, assist other team members with client communications
- Client on-boardings
- Schedule and coordinate client on-boarding calls
- Set and/or reset new client expectations based on the scope of services that was sold
- Perform software setups during client on-boarding
- Evaluate and perform historical clean-up work for new clients (can delegate and collaborate)
- Ad hoc projects & small project management
- Must be able to scope a project by # of hours and team members required
- Display ability to communicate and keep team and client up-to-date
- Deliver the ProfitCoach Experience throughout projects as they come up
- Collaborator on financial close, ensuring clients books from the past month are closed by the committed upon deadline each month
- Owning the monthly financial review for a number of clients, and as new clients come on board.
- Review and suggest efficiency improvements for the financial close process
- Able to contribute to the Annual Year-End Close process
- Backup payroll processor as needed, and for new clients
- Internal auditor of client books, in collaboration with peers within the department
- Internal auditor of our internal Asana processes, in collaboration with peers within the department
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Quickbooks Online (QBO)
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Experience with financial review
- Experience with running payroll or payroll recording
- Able to understand new concepts with written and hands-on support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Xero
- Understanding of property management accounting
- Familiarity with the NARPM Standard Chart of Accounts
- Experience in AppFolio, navigating to reports
