We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Management Team in Paiania, Greece.

By joining this role, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and evolving our next-generation data platform on Microsoft Azure Cloud.

Your role will encompass:  

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines and data transformation processes to support business needs.
• Participate in technical workshops with Data Architects, providing input on data architecture and solution design.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Business Analysts to define requirements and align data solutions with business goals.
• Monitor and enhance the Corporate Data Warehouse, ensuring efficient data flow and reliability.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate data across systems, enabling seamless reporting and analytics.
• Implement automation and optimization techniques to improve data processing efficiency.
• Provide mentorship to junior data engineers, fostering skill development and best practices.
• Maintain and enhance reporting data schemas, ensuring accurate and accessible insights.

What you bring to the role:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related domain.
• Strong expertise in data warehousing concepts (ETL, OLAP, Dimensional Modeling, Data Marts, etc.).
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Synapse, or Azure Dedicated SQL Pool is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data tools (e.g., NoSQL databases like Azure Cosmos DB, MongoDB).
• Proficiency in SQL, data transformation, and reporting frameworks.
• Familiarity with source control tools, code repositories, and versioning best practices.
• Previous experience in DWH/BI projects within the energy, metals, or retail industries is a plus.
