We are seeking an experienced senior data engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. As well as ensuring optimal data delivery architecture and performance. This role demands expertise in handling complex data sets, excellent hands on programming skills, and a passion for creating efficient data solutions. 

Responsibilities 

• Create and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform and serve global payments and risk data.
• Manage and maintain the data platform, including data pipelines and environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of data scientists, software engineers, product managers and business leads, to understand requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Take ownership of a data area, building subject matter expertise and cultivating trust with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior members, and grow a strong data culture across the team and organisation.

Must-have

• 5+ years of work experience in data engineering.
• Strong skills in SQL and Python.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining data models and data pipelines.
• Experience working with cloud based architecture.
• Great communication skills with a diverse team of varying technical ability.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with data for data science, analytics or business intelligence.
• Experience with AWS, Infrastructure-as-code, Databricks or DBT.
• Experience working for an early stage startup before.
• Experience working in a fully remote team before.
• Knowledge of payments, risk or financial technology.

Note: The nice-to-have qualifications are not mandatory but would be considered as additional strengths for the role. 

This position is fully remote; however, successful candidates are required to have a minimum of three hours of overlap with Singapore Time (SGT) working hours.
