We are  looking for an Electro-Optical EOIR Design Engineers (m/w/d) to join our customer team in Getafe

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing cutting-edge electro-optical systems and components. Your expertise will contribute to innovative solutions across various applications, including imaging systems, sensors, and optical communication technologies.

Your main tasks will be:

• Develop and design advanced electro-optical systems and subsystems
• Conduct simulations and performance analysis of optical and electro-optical components.
• Oversee the integration of optical designs into larger systems and ensure compatibility with project requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, for system optimization.
• Perform lab-based testing and validation of prototypes, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during design, testing, and production phases.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electro-optical technologies and industry standards.

About you:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years preferred) in the design and development of electro-optical systems.
• Proficiency in optical design software (e.g., CODE V, Zemax) Design SW (Solid Edge / Siemens NX) and Simulation tools (Matlab, Python)
• Solid understanding of optics, photonics, and laser systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, curiosity about systems functional features, flexibility to work on different topics under customer demand.
• Communication skills with proficient use of the language relevant to the performed activities: Spanish C1, Minimum B2 level in English

Mandatory skills:

• Knowledge of Optical Design SW (e.g. CODE V, ZEMAX). Appreciated knowledge of simulation SW (e.g. Matlab, Python), CAD tools Solid Edge / Siemens NX
• Experience in embedded systems or integration of electro-optical systems into larger platforms.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality assurance for optical components.
• Hands-on lab experience with optical testing and alignment
