Senior Full Stack Developer

Plymouth (or remote with some travel to Plymouth)

£45,000 to £55,000 per annum

Our teams create solutions using cutting-edge technology to solve everyday logistics problems ranging from route-finding and waypoint sequencing, to business automation and observability. The role as a Senior Full Stack Developer:

As part of a small team, the right candidate will have the opportunity to get involved in many areas of our tech stack. While we are primarily looking for someone with strong backend skills, knowledge of front-end web frameworks or mobile development would be a definite plus. We value fresh ideas and encourage team members to actively contribute to discussions that shape our future, including the adoption of new tools and technologies.

While our core stack is PHP, we also develop services using Python, Go, and Node.js - experience in any of these is a plus!

Your responsibilities as a Senior Full Stack Developer:

• Design and develop high-performance web applications using various programming languages and frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in team processes, ensuring adherence to coding standards and project timelines
• Perform code reviews to improve quality, maintainability, and performance
• Implement automated testing frameworks and deployment pipelines
• Ensure web application security through best practices and appropriate measures
• Research new technologies to improve development processes
• Participate in architectural design discussions and technical roadmaps
• Troubleshoot complex issues and propose sustainable solutions

To be successful in this Senior Full Stack Developer role, we require:

• At least 3 years experience with PHP/Laravel
• Proficient with JavaScript
• Experience with at least one front-end framework, such as React, Vue, SolidJS or Svelte
• Experience with MongoDB and aggregations
• Experience with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Proficiency with Git and Github
• Strong problem-solving abilities

Nice to have experience:

• React
• TypeScript
• Livewire/AlpineJS
• Utility-first CSS (TailwindCSS, UnoCSS)
• Experience with testing frameworks (phpunit, pest, jest)
• Expertise in Docker or K8S
• Node.js runtime environment
• Go/Python
• AWS or Google Cloud
