The Subscriptions Team is on a mission to create amazing services for all GARMIN segments. Through these services we help customers follow their passions with peace of mind.

We are looking for a talented software engineer to work in tandem with our experienced squads.

Garmin Outdoor also includes: wearables - Fenix series, wildlife monitoring devices, trapshooting devices (combining camera & radar), dog collars for dog training & monitoring.

We believe that collaboration leads to the best ideas, and we rely heavily on team interaction. As a hybrid role based in Cluj-Napoca, this position will require at least 3 days in the office each week.

Being part of our squad, you will:

• Design and enhance software solutions for Garmin's web applications.
• Help evaluate new technologies, features and functions and offer suggestions.
• Join a group of passionate and committed developers.
• Have the possibility to mentor less experienced engineers or get involved in our academy/internship programs.
• Transform monolithic systems into microservices.
• Develop APIs to facilitate communication between services.
• Utilize modern technologies such as .NET Core, Blazor, and Cloud platforms.
• Add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.

• Knowledge, education, experience and/or training in object oriented development and a familiarity with databases and source code control.
• Good knowledge of a wide range of technologies including but not limited to C#, ASP .NET MVC, .NET & .NET Core, Web API, Azure services, Micro-services/Distributed systems, MSSQL, Entity Framework/Core, Asynchronous programming, Design Patterns.
• Demonstrated skills in working with Javascript libraries or frameworks like React or Angular.
• A bachelor of science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a technical field relevant to the essential functions of this job description and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• English proficiency.

Would be a great plus if you have:

• Expertise with Docker, WebSocket and/or Blazor.
• Experience with working as part of an Agile (especially Scrum) or Kanban team.
• Knowledge and experience with IaC tools, like Terraform.
• Experience with configuration and maintenance of/for CI/CD pipelines.
