We are currently looking for a Senior Renewable & Storage Energy Portfolio Specialist to join our Energy Generation and Management division in Athens, Greece.

By joining this role, you will actively participate in the daily operations of the department of Renewable & Storage Asset Optimization, with a strong focus on Day Ahead and Intraday trading of Renewable & Storage Assets.

Your role will encompass:

• Leading the department’s participation in the Balancing Market, ensuring optimal representation of dispatchable Renewable & Storage Assets.

• Designing and developing tools, algorithms, and methodologies to enhance asset trading efficiency across all relevant electricity markets.

• Developing key performance metrics to improve operational decision-making and profitability.

• Contributing to the department’s transformation toward full automation and algorithmic trading of Renewable & Storage Assets.

• Enhancing existing tools and creating new solutions to optimize asset trading performance.

• Taking part in weekend and holiday operational duties on a rotating basis.

• Ensuring the daily execution of bidding strategies while minimizing compliance risks.

What you bring to the role:

• 5+ years of experience in the power market industry, with a focus on real-time trading (Intraday, Balancing) as a plus.

• Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework for regional electricity markets, with a focus on the Balancing Market.

• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage large datasets efficiently.

• Technical proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, GAMS, or VBA (Power BI knowledge is a plus).

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Economics, or a related field.

• A postgraduate degree in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science will be considered an asset.
