Your day-to-day

We are looking for a Senior Risk Professional to join our team and provide expert risk advisory across key areas, including change management, policy guidance, incident management, control identification and development, risk training, and general risk advisory. You’ll play a vital role in embedding a strong risk culture, ensuring our fast-moving environment balances agility with effective risk management.

This is a hands-on role that requires a solid understanding of technology risks, particularly within software development and financial services. You’ll need to be a strong communicator, capable of translating complex risk concepts into practical guidance that resonates across the business.

Key Responsibilities

•  Change & Policy Advisory: Provide risk support and guidance on change initiatives, ensuring policies and controls keep pace with evolving business needs.
•  Incident Management: Support and guide the business in effectively managing and learning from incidents, ensuring robust risk response and mitigation.
•  Control Development & Oversight: Identify, design, and enhance risk controls to support a resilient and scalable risk management framework.
•  Risk Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver engaging risk training to upskill teams and embed a proactive risk culture.
•  Technology Risk Expertise: Advise on risks associated with software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and third-party technology providers.
•  General Risk Advisory: Be a trusted advisor, partnering with stakeholders across the business to assess risks and provide practical solutions that align with business goals.

What We’re Looking For

•  Experience: 5+ years in a risk, compliance, or governance role, preferably within fintech, payments, or software development.
•  Technology Risk Knowledge: A strong understanding of technology-related risks, including software development lifecycle risks, cloud security, and operational resilience.
•  Communication & Influence: Ability to distill complex risk concepts into clear, actionable advice for technical and non-technical audiences.
•  Collaboration & Agility: Comfort working at pace in a dynamic environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
•  Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to identifying risks and developing practical, business-friendly solutions.
•  Remote-First Culture: Ability to thrive in a remote-first environment, with strong self-motivation, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to collaboration.
