Senior VMware Consultant (VCD & ARIA Automation)

Location: Remote (USA) with one week per month onsite in Radford, VA. You can live anywhere USA but you must work EST hours and be able to work one week per month onsite in Radford, VA.
Clearance Requirement: Must have an active Secret clearance minimum.
Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) & Security+

Salary: 140-165K

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior VMware Consultant with extensive experience in VMware Cloud Director (VCD) and VMware ARIA Suite to support automation initiatives for a government client. The consultant will play a critical role in optimizing, scaling, and automating virtual data center deployments within a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)/VCD environment.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Automation Development: Identify and implement the best automation approach (VCD or ARIA) for specific use cases, as defined by the Architect.
•  Platform Optimization: Assist in optimizing and scaling the existing VCF/VCD platform deployed across three identical stacks.
•  Use Case Development: Work closely with the customer to define and automate virtual data center creation and other key functionalities.
•  Technical Expertise: Apply specialized coding skills for VCD automation, which differ from ARIA Automation techniques.
•  Customer Collaboration: Establish daily touchpoints with the customer to align objectives and ensure successful execution.

• Active Secret Clearance (must be current and in good standing).
• Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) & Security+ (both required).
• Technical Expertise:

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Director (VCD) and ARIA Suite (formerly vRealize).
• Expertise in automation methodologies for VMware environments.
• Familiarity with VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation) and its integration with VCD.
• Experience optimizing and scaling VMware platforms in large-scale environments.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools specific to VCD and ARIA Automation.
• Project Experience: Demonstrated ability to work independently and provide strategic guidance on automation best practices.
