Robeauté is redefining the future of neurosurgery with self-propelled microrobots designed to navigate the human brain with unprecedented precision. Our technology makes it possible to reach deep brain regions that were previously inaccessible, without invasive surgery.
We’ve developed microrobots capable of traveling inside the brain to collect biopsies, deliver cancer drugs, and implant electrodes for neurological treatments.
Since our founding in 2017, we’ve filed 50+ patents and successfully tested our technology in living animals, with human clinical trials targeted for 2026. We recently raised €27M in Series A funding from Plural, Cherry Ventures, Kindred Ventures, and Brainlab, fueling our next growth phase.
Now, as we scale, we are looking for a software engineer specializing in operational coding to help develop and certify our software.
The software, a core element of our robotic system, must comply with the stringent requirements of the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and EMA (European Medical Agency). You will be responsible for ensuring the operation and the regulatory compliance of both existing and newly developed code.
What you'll do
- Analyze the software's source code to ensure its compliance with FDA regulations and best practices in biomedical software development.
- Provide recommendations to improve the regulatory compliance and quality of the code.
- Write, implement, and execute unit tests for each software component, working closely with the development team.
- Document the results of analyses and tests by producing clear and actionable reports for technical and regulatory teams.
- Collaborate with software engineers, regulatory specialists, and product managers to ensure functional and regulatory requirements are met.
- Develop and implement software solutions into the products of Robeauté.
- Collaborate with engineers, product people, designers and medical professionals to define software requirements and specifications.
- Test and validate software systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain documentation for all software development processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues that may arise during testing or in clinical settings.
- Set up and maintain an IT architecture that could support the needs of the software applications of the products (servers, cloud, etc.).
- Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in robotics, software engineering and IT to improve our products.
Technical Skills
- Advanced expertise in Python, with strong experience in static code analysis and automated test development.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, ideally with front-end frameworks like React.js.
- Familiarity with standards and regulations in the biomedical sector (FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, etc.).
- Proficiency with version control tools such as Git and testing frameworks like PyTest, Jest, or equivalents.
- Familiar of the IT operational needs and systems. Ideally you have already built an IT infrastructure.
Personal Attributes
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in applying regulatory standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Self-sufficient and well-organized to manage priorities in a demanding environment.
- Love interdisciplinarity and exchanges with experts from other fields (neurosurgeon, designers, regulatory bodies, etc.).
Education and Experience
- Engineering degree or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Competitive salary
- Meal vouchers
- Transportation subsidies
- Health insurance partial coverage
- Lots of autonomy and growth opportunities
- Work directly with visionary founders in the heart of groundbreaking medical innovation
- Work from our Paris offices with a dynamic team
