Engineering @ OMG

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be part of a growing development team and make a direct impact on the development process and our culture. We're building our platform with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Typescript, React, Go, and other exciting technologies — we believe in picking the right tool for the job.

Please note: Candidates must be based in the Dallas area and able to work onsite as needed. For remote candidates, periodic travel to our Dallas, TX headquarters is required at least twice per quarter.

Day in the Life

• Develop and mentor engineers on the team and help them advance in their career
• Assist in recruiting top-tier engineers to join OMG
• Work closely with Product Management to deliver against the roadmap and meet goals
• Provide architectural oversight and review for the team’s deliverables
• Manage everyday processes to ensure the team runs effectively
• Play scrum master role for up to 3 agile teams
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as part of the engineering management team

What You Need

• 7+ years of experience building web apps, preferably in multiple languages and environments
• 3+ years of technical leadership for an application development team
• A track record of leading engineering teams and delivering quality projects
• Strong project management and product lifecycle skills
• An appreciation for a high level of autonomy and responsibility
• A scrappy, get-stuff-done attitude that completes high-quality projects quickly
• Experience with Stripe Connect and/or Stripe Billing is a plus
• Experience in eCommerce is a plus
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status required
• Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position
