As a Software Programmer, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions in support of critical national security operations. If you are a motivated self-starter with a passion for software engineering, we want to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesServes as primary computer programmer for AFSOAWC training tool software support.Writes updates and maintains computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs within the AFSOAWC training website.Designs and loads training forms, student questionnaires and other documents as required.Consults with management and technical support personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes.Performs revision, repair, or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users of the use of commercial and Government software and other training website programs as required.Coordinates AFSOAWC updates to various programs ranging from basic internal programs to government owned programs or government utilized program suites.Write/integrate ‘gaming’ applications to enhance AFSOAWC flying training programs. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldProficiency with programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, or PythonUnity Experience Five years’ work related experienceAbility to write/integrate ‘gaming’ applications to enhance AFSOAWC flying training programs Secret security clearance required.
