Job Purpose:
The Software Test Analyst will act as a key tester and analyst for various in-flight software development projects for the Department of Health and Human Services. This role involves working in an agile environment to design and execute test cases, develop testing scripts for custom .NET web applications, and ensure the integration and performance standards meet the Department's requirements.

• Design and execute both manual and automated test cases.
• Understand and apply the secure application development lifecycle (SADLC) principles.
• Develop testing scripts specifically for custom .NET web applications.
• Write and execute use cases, test plans, and develop testing strategies.
• Generate testing reports and metrics to assess quality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design comprehensive test cases.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman and Rest Client.
• Write SQL and P-SQL queries for database testing and data validation.
• Work within and build test suites specific to various build environments (DEV, UAT, QAT, PRE-PROD).
• Participate actively in an agile development environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Must Have Qualifications:

• Senior level experience (5+ years) in software testing.
• Proficiency in Java and JavaScript.
• Strong capability in issue tracking and defect management.
• Experience with API testing and familiarity with tools such as Postman.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Provar, Katalon).
• Experience using Azure DevOps Testing Module.
• Mobile App testing experience for iOS and Android platforms.
• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience with ADA Compliance testing tools (e.g., AccVerify, JAWS).
