This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to play a key part in architecting and developing core backend systems while ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop core backend systems from scratch.
• Deploy and maintain the product on AWS.
• Make strategic technical decisions to improve system performance and scalability.
• Follow best practices for testing, logging, and deployments.
• Contribute to building the engineering team and mentor junior developers.

Requirements:

•  3+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
• Expertise in Python and Django.
• Hands-on experience with databases (Postgres, Redis, etc.).
• Strong understanding of platform technologies (Docker, AWS).
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices.
• Previous experience in architecting and scaling backend systems.
• A hands-on approach with the ability to drive solutions to completion.
