You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies to create solutions that impact millions of people, contributing to the development of an innovative and secure Online Passport Renewal system. This opportunity offers a collaborative and dynamic remote environment where you’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital products for federal agencies. Your contributions will directly affect the digital transformation of vital public services.Accountabilities:Develop and maintain scalable back-end systems using modern open-source technologies.Implement cloud-based solutions in collaboration with enterprise platform teams.Participate in Agile processes, including standups, retrospectives, and sprint planning.Collaborate with leadership, product managers, and designers to implement business requirements.Ensure the smooth operation of the existing application with ongoing support and maintenance.Contribute to performance monitoring, benchmarking, and optimization of the system. Ability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) clearance.At least 10 years of related experience in backend development.Expertise in Python and deep knowledge of APIs, RESTful practices, and GraphQL.Experience with cloud services, especially AWS (EKS, MSK, OpenSearch).Familiarity with Docker containerization and Kubernetes (Kustomize, ArgoCD, Helm).Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).Strong experience with Redis, event-driven architectures, and automated testing platforms.Solid documentation skills and experience with Git, DevOps, and Terraform.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
