Apply NowThe Accountant is responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and financial services while providing accurate, relevant, and timely information to the management team within the business. This role is pivotal in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. Additionally, the role involves support in coordinating with the parent company and related entities to ensure smooth financial communication and reporting, as well as managing invoicing and Purchase Order (PO) processes.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Cost Management, Purchase Ledger, and PO Handling:
· Manage the end-to-end Purchase Order (PO) process, from creation to reconciliation, ensuring compliance with company policies.
· Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any issues related to POs or invoices.
· Provide support to the purchase ledger function when required, ensuring accurate financial tracking and timely payments.
· Taking full responsibility for processing the supplier invoices (registration, accounting).
· Provide support in analysation of monthly overhead costs, ensuring adherence to purchase procedures.
Invoicing and Accounts Receivable management
· Participate in the invoicing process, ensuring timely and accurate issuance of invoices to clients.
· Monitor accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments.
· Resolve any invoicing disputes or discrepancies in coordination with relevant teams.
Fixed Asset Management:
· Oversee the monthly movements in connection with fixed assets.
· Prepare activation and disposal protocols.
· Account depreciation.
· Actively take part in fixed assets inventory.
Compliance and Tax Management:
· Ensure support in timely and accurate preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring all liabilities are paid on time.
· Assist in maintaining compliance with local and international financial regulations and tax laws.
Bank statements:
· Take care of the recording of bank statements on monthly basis, prepare payment files regularly.
· Assisting in monitoring cash flows.
Coordination with Parent Company and Related Entities:
· Support communication between the company and the parent company, as well as other related entities.
· Support the preparation of financial reports as requested by the parent company or related entities.
· Ensure alignment of financial strategies and practices between the company and its parent company or subsidiaries.
Strategic Support:
· Work closely with the global finance team to provide financial insights and recommendations that support strategic business decisions.
· Participate in internal projects as required, contributing to continuous improvement and organizational growth.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
· Participate in company forecasting and budgeting processes.
· Take part in preparation of external audit files, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
· Support the preparation of cash flow statements and manage cash flow production.
Skills / Attributes Required:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Technical:
· Holder of a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting.
· Certified Public Accountant designation is an advantage.
· 2+ years of working within a finance team.
· Proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the capacity to learn new technology/systems.
· Knowledge of Xero/SAP is preferred.
· Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial regulations.
